Briefly about "Was It All a Fleeting Dream?"

"Was It All a Fleeting Dream?” is a meditation in written and photographic form upon existence, photography, and the fragility of life. It is published on viktoraron.com, will be exhibited with Fria Fotografers Filial at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Stockholm January 26 – February 17, and published and exhibited with Fanzinet Ordförande (date and place to be announced).

The essay’s thesis is that "the photograph shows us that something is happening, or, rather, has happened, even whilst we were not watching." Out from a child’s early fascinations about the multitude of consciousnesses, the text springs forth, and grows into a study about the limitations of our minds and our lives. It dwells on our limited senses, our boundness to our own bodies and minds, and our desolation in the passage of time, and then, what the photograph signify in this. The essay is combined with photographs from the summer of 2018, taken in Northern Norway, along The High Coast of Sweden, in Kalmar, and in Stockholm.

It can be read here.
